Where do I find my dose?
On your pharmacy label — the printed label with your name on it, on the box, bag or vial. It gives the dose your clinician prescribed. This site shows you how to take that dose correctly; it never decides the dose for you.
What if the vial I received isn't what I expected?
Stop and message the care team before injecting anything. Strength and concentration vary between pharmacies, so the same dose in milligrams can be a different number of units on the syringe. Never carry a unit number over from a previous vial.
Why does the site ask which pharmacy filled my prescription?
Because the syringe units depend on the concentration, and concentrations differ by pharmacy and formulation. Selecting the pharmacy printed on your label is what makes the instructions match the vial in your hand.
What is the difference between milligrams and units?
Milligrams are how much medication you take. Units are the marks on the syringe you draw to. The same milligram dose sits at a different unit mark on a different concentration, which is why you should always read the units from the guide for your specific vial.
How should I store my medication?
Most compounded injectables are refrigerated and kept out of direct light. Your guide shows the storage rules for your exact product, and the storage line on your label always takes precedence. Never freeze an injectable unless your label tells you to.
I missed a weekly dose. What now?
Don't double up to catch up. How to handle a missed dose depends on how long it has been and on your prescription, so message the care team and they will tell you what to do.
When should I get help urgently?
Call 911 or go to an emergency room for trouble breathing, swelling of the face, lips or throat, severe or persistent abdominal pain, or fainting. For anything that worries you but isn't an emergency, message the care team or call (949) 818-8000 ×2.
Does this site replace my clinician's instructions?
No. It is a reference for taking a medication you have already been prescribed. If anything here disagrees with your label or with what your clinician told you, follow them and tell us so we can look into it.
